Meet the Founder
In the wake of my sister’s tragic murder in 2012, I was often asked, “How are you so happy despite everything you’ve been through?” What began as a personal blog, Joy Speaks, began to grow in my heart as a mission to teach the Bible to anyone who was eager enough to learn more.
With a master’s degree in Christian Education and a deep passion for bringing scripture to life, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others grow personally and spiritually, whether through writing, teaching group fitness classes, or heartfelt conversations.
The journey began at Young Life, where I volunteered for a few years, pouring into the next generation with energy & encouragement. Alongside this, I worked at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship as a youth coordinator, serving and honing my skills in ministry, communication, & marketing.
Joy Speaks began as a blog, but soon became much more than I had once daydreamed about. I’m not here to sell you a lie or convince you of anything you don’t agree with. I’m just here to share the things that God will not let me run away from. And trust me, I’ve spent years trying.
