In the wake of her sister’s tragic murder in 2012, Audresha Lynn was often asked, “How are you so joyful despite everything you’ve been through?” What began as a personal blog, Joy Speaks, soon grew into something much bigger, a calling from God to share the transformative power of joy through faith.

From the heart of Dallas, Texas, to the digital pages of Joy Speaks, Audresha Pemberton has been on a mission to bring faith, joy, and biblical wisdom to the world. With a master’s degree in Christian Education and a deep passion for teaching, she has dedicated her life to helping others grow spiritually, whether through spoken word, written word, or heartfelt conversations.
Her journey began at Young Life, where she volunteered, pouring into the next generation with energy & encouragement. Alongside this, she worked at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship as a youth coordinator, where she served and honed her skills in ministry, communication, & marketing.
As a gifted writer, Audresha has shared her insights and personal experiences on various online platforms, including Thrive Global, founded by the creator of the Huffington Post. Now, through her membership-based platform, her work dives deep into faith, grief, healing, and the transformative power of joy, guiding readers to find hope in Christ no matter their circumstances & helping believers grow in their faith beyond just Sunday sermons.
